Statement: |
I am a person who truly does love the art and science of well-designed, well delivered business. Business development. leadership and cultivation of high potentials, marketing, sales, and cultivation of professional relationship are all elements I have actively pursued with considerable success over the past 4 full decades.
An ideal client for me is a leader, executive, or business owner who wants to more fully invest in his/her high-potentials and fast-track people -- and who is highly conscious of the legacy opportunity now available. All of my clients really are already usually well-positioned to then implement and make the changes we identify together are in their own best interests - as well as the interests of those they shepherd. I do work also with others -- but I tend to do so with the larger scope in view of where they may want to be heading in life -- overall...not just in their next business deal.
I also have onboard many great coaches I've helped hand-train though who are better-suited for other types of on-staff and in-staff coaching assignments. I am glad to bridge people to those or to others I have helped hand-train in my field.
From birth I have been part of an entrepreneurial culture inheritably (my Dad was a corner-drugstore entrepreneur and our stores always became part of community traditions) -- I naturally operate with an eye to both the well being of the individual (the primary clients) as well as the structure within which they reside - i.e. both their professional and personal community. In that behalf, I have avidly pursued both ontological training as a professional mentor and coach with key leaders in the world-fields, and I have also had deep training in systems and in operational theory as to how people and "the world" as well as their own world may be likely to work together.
Almost all of my own clients over the past 14 years I have been full-time operational as a professional mentor and business/collaboration coach -- have one commonality: the majority have once lost a chuck of something incredibly important to them to their career. While they have customarily been very successful -- it has come with a price they recognize. Sometimes this is the loss of a very significant relationship; other times it's been a piece of their own health/well-being; most often it a big 'hunk' of their life, generally - and while they do not regret that - they now do not want it to repeat -- or in some cases, to continue longer.
For all of my clients -- MORE is no longer the answer. They have customarily experienced MORE - it worked then most often - but no longer. Now they are more interested in what is next that works overall in their life -- as they now want their signature across life to become more seamless. For me The SeamLess Life™ represents the means to truly have pieces if not very large portions of it ALL. That is possible with the self-management and the design in place for most who are up to accomplishing a lot and knowing now what it is they most want to be about for their future. The majority still love their industry, and in many cases still want to be very active in their field of primary expertise(s) -- they just want to do it 'their way' possibly more than their culture's way for the rest of this ride.
On the other hand, I love nothing better than working with a fresh start-up situation, as well -- from the perspective of "what's next?!" I say that with one caveat -- I'm not really the best match or financial investment for engagement for someone who has never yet really felt they have hit their stride in anything professionally. It is important to declare that right up front.
Designing and foundationing from scratch for the "what is ahead" is obviously a passion for me, though, and something i thoroughly enjoy organizing and structuring to put in place with a client. This is one reason I created this seventh business I plan to work within lifetime -- fashioned by putting together all my favorite aspects of my previous six businesses. (truth be told -- that is it!) I do believe we all have great, new opportunities about to present. Life needs room for them to show up. Because my own commitment to myself is to now for these past 14-years to reinvent 15% to 30% of this business anew -- I have the spaciousness and the receptivity for a lot of new ideas to fit within it. So -- walking my own talk also is important to do plus to model.

I get tremendous value from the way Sherry "holds" me - she sees and always speaks to my best self - it is impossible to play small when she is around. Also, because she knows the field and all the players (see above) she sees me in context - helps me find where I fit - and where my particular gifts, strengths and passions can really make a significant contribution. I knew I would get good business mentoring. But this "reflection" she consistently mirrors for me, impacts me every day in the way I look at things, the choices I make, the risks I take. I live into the big picture she holds for me.
Also, although I knew Sherry was well connected, I had no idea how high her antenae are and how widely she scans for what is new and innovative. She collects information and people as a way of life, then stores away and catalogues valuable data that she can, thanks to technology and good organzational skills, retrieve on a dime. She's like the world wide web with a heart, with as much wisdom as knoweldge to dispense. I can't stress enough the value of this.
Another way of saying this is that she prepares the richest possible environment (think nutrient rich soil) in which to grow, and then nurtures the growth, with the amazing ability to see the fully grown plant in the seed and speak consistently to that plant. She is amazing.
